DivorceCare is a network of thousands of
divorce recovery support groups meeting nationwide. The goal of the
thirteen week program is to provide help for dealing with the pain of
divorce, discover hope for the future, and experience God's healing.
Each session is centered on three parts. At each session participants
will view a video seminar on an issue related to separation and divorce.
After the video you'll discuss the video and what's going on in the
lives of the group's members. Between sessions there is opportunity
for personal Bible study, journaling, reflection, and spiritual growth,
based on your personal DivorceCare workbook. The requirements of members
include maintaining confidentiality, sharing, and showing sensitivity
to others' hurts. This program is open to separated, newly divorced,
and those divorced any number of years who are still dealing with the
pain of divorce. You do not have to be a member of Community Church
to attend this seminar; likewise, if desired, you are invited at no
additional cost to attend make-up sessions or repeat a session at any
of the network member churches. Come and join Nancy Backus and Bill Leu as they guide you through the process of maintaining God as the center of your healing process during the pain of divorce. Each seminar will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30. The one-time cost of the program is $20 and scholarships are available; childcare is offered with pre-registration.
